
Howard B. Lee of Baggs, WY passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 88 on November 12, 2025. His loving wife Eunice was by his side along with his family who simply adored him. Funeral services will be held on November 18, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Valley Community Center in Baggs, WY. Interment will be held at the Baggs Cemetery. Howard was born on September 9, 1937, in Vernal, UT to Blaine and Florence Horrocks Lee. He was the 4th child in a family of seven siblings. He proved to have a strong work ethic and was quite the entrepreneur running his own lawn mowing service at just 13 years old. Howard attended Vernal High School and went on to serve three years in the Marines at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, CA. He worked for the forest service mining copper. He also ran several lucrative full-service gas stations in Utah.
He married the love of his life, Edna Eunice Brimhall on August 11, 1961, in Jensen, UT. Together, they moved to Baggs, WY in 1971 where they owned and operated H.B.Lee Construction and worked on their cattle ranch, known as H.B.Lee Family Limited Partnership. Through this union they raised their six children: Laura, Brent, Wes, Linda, Sydney, and Christy. All six siblings chose to keep Baggs as their home to raise families of their own, which brought many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Aside from all of Howard’s successes, his family was his single, greatest achievement and he made sure to make each one feel special. Howard belonged to The Church of Latter-day Saints where he had a deep faith in his religion and a strong conviction with his Heavenly Father. He served as Branch President at the Baggs Branch of The Church of Latter-day Saints. It is his faith that brings his family peace and comfort while they grieve his passing. Howard is survived by his wife Eunice and children Laura and Joe Garvin, Brent and Sue Lee, Wes and Melanie Lee, Linda and Trevor Kaisler, Sydney and David Gourlay, and Christy and Travis Risner; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and sister Carol Jean Madsen. He is preceded in death by his parents Blaine and Florence Horrocks Lee; siblings Melva, Roy, Bob, James, and Douglas; and great granddaughter Raya Russell.
