Kyle Andrew Nugent, our loving and goofy son, brother, and friend, was born on July 26, 1989 in Craig, Colorado to Lynda Ahlstrom Nugent and Joseph Nugent. He was the second of three children. Kyle unexpectedly passed away on September 3, 2022 in Craig, Colorado. He was 33 years old.
Anyone who knew Kyle understood he was a big kid with a huge heart. Really, he was just a giant teddy bear, especially when it came to children. Kyle loved big hugs and making others feel better whenever they were down. He was always ready with a joke or prank, depending on the situation. His #1 skill was making others smile and feel loved.
Kyle had many loves in his life. He loved cords, speakers, his electronics, and especially his movies. He could talk in great detail about Godzilla and Pokemon. He also adored his adopted nieces, nephews, and dog, Ellie May.
Kyle is survived by his mother, Lynda Overton, and sisters, Desiree Braley and JanaLee Nugent. He also leaves behind countless other family members and family friends, all of whom will miss him greatly. He was welcomed in heaven by many great ancestors, his beloved step-dad, James Driscoll, and too many furry friends to count.
We invite everyone who knew Kyle to help us celebrate the life of this amazing soul who captured our hearts and put so much joy in our lives. Please come and say your farewells and share your fondest memories of him. I’m sure he would be grateful to see all of his family and friends gathered together for this day, in remembrance of his life. After all, we all know how he loved to be the center of everyone’s attention! Well, Buddy, this day is all for you!
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 17, 2022 at The Grant Mortuary Chapel. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until service time. Memorial donations may be made to Grant Mortuary to assist with funeral expenses.
