

A Celebration of Trapper’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the Fairfield Center, 200 Main Street in Meeker, Colorado.
Trapper Levi McGruder was born the son of Jim McGruder and Heather Allan on November 3, 2001 in Craig. He spent his childhood and attended schools in Meeker, Rifle and Craig. Following high school, Trapper aspired to be a paleontologist. He enjoyed everything outdoors, was an avid fisherman, loved creating art and was a science enthusiast.
Trapper will be remembered by his family and friends as a caring, adventurous, intelligent and passionate young man. He was often goofy and liked to make every situation as awkward as he could because he loved to make everyone laugh. Trapper also loved all animals and was very devoted to his pets.
Trapper is survived by his girlfriend, Justice McMillan; parents, Jim (Annie) McGruder of Craig and Heather (James) Roe of Rifle; five brothers: Abid and Abraham Allan, Dakota Whalin, Russell and Keenan McGruder; his niece, Mia Allan; grandparents: Carl & Jamie McGruder, Butch & Katherine Rael and Timothy & Ida Lynn Roe; and many friends including “The Lost Boys”.
Trapper was preceded in death by his brother, Tucker Lane McGruder; his great-grandparents; and his best friend, Eli Ellis.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Trapper’s memory to the Trapper McGruder Memorial Fund at the Bank of Colorado.
