

She was born October 9, 1989 to Russell Stearns and Lisa Whitby, she married David Louwers. They divorced. She later married Seth Stephens on July 23, 2023 in Morton. He survives.
Also surviving are her mother, Lisa Brownfield; her father, Russell (Molly) Stearns; two children, Noah Hoog of Morton and Bennett Louwers of Pekin; two siblings, Alex Cunningham of Tampa, Florida and Jakob Brownfield of Pekin; four step-siblings, Nick Brownfield of Washington, Kirstin (Tyler) Starr of Pekin, Anthony Brownfield of Pekin and Michael Brownfield of Bellevue; her paternal grandparents, Russell Earl Stearns of Carbondale and Pamela Bart of East Peoria; her maternal grandmother Joyce Whitby of Pekin; her former husband David Louwers of Pekin and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John L. Whitby and her step-grandfather, John T. Bart.
Brodi worked as an Administrative Assistant at Tazwood Community Services, Inc.
She enjoyed miniatures, LEGO and painting. Brodi had an affinity for penguins, Disney movies and video games. She listened to Taylor Swift and Coheed & Cambria and enjoyed going to concerts. Above all Brodi was an excellent mother who adored her two boys.
A gathering honoring Brodi will be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Oz’z Bar & Grill, 216 Marquette Street, Creve Coeur, Illinois 61610. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
