

Born December 27, 1934, in Peoria to Clarence E. and Ferne O. (Glandon) Bohm, Jr., he married Susan Stephens on November 8, 1980. She survives.
He is also survived by four children, Rick (Vicky), Randy (Pam), Carlos (Angi), and Christie; two step-children, Dana (Gary) Fosen and Tyler (Molly) Stephens; nine grandchildren, Katelyn (Chris) Frasco, Natalie (Jake) Bieze, Morgan Kerker, Jennifer Bohm, Savanna (Tege) Tyler, Jake (Bri) Capko and Jana (Tommy) Abraham, Hunter Stephens and Lily Stephens; five great-grandchildren, Isabella Frasco, Ellie Mae Tyler, Emma Tyler, Brynn Bieze, and Thomas Anthony Abraham.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Dixie Hughes, and one nephew, Gregg Murrell whom he was very fond of.
Carlos retired from Bradley University, and he also worked at Pabst Brewing Company, Hiram Walkers, National Distillery and American Distillery.
He was an avid hunter of rabbits, pheasants, quail, squirrels, and waterfowl. Carlos loved to hunt waterfowl in Southern Illinois. He was a long-time member of Tri County Duck and Goose Hunters, Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl.
Carlos was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan, loved Rock n Roll music and Bruce Lee.
A staunch union man, Carlos was a proud member of Local 399 of the International Union of Operating Engineers for years. He worked many years in boiler rooms.
He loved his kids, grandkids and great grandkids immensely!
A celebration of Carlos’s life will be held 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday January 11, 2026, at Bartonville American Legion, 4501 South Airport Road, Bartonville, IL. Camouflage attire is encouraged. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
