Elnora (Parnell) Lee

Born April 22, 1930 in Peoria to George and LeeOra (McIntosh) Parnell, she first married Edwin A. Zimmerman in 1948, whom she had four children with. He passed away in 1964. She then married Richard Coon in 1965, whom she had one child with. He also preceded her in death in 1998.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Peggy Mayfield; one great-granddaughter, Peggy; one sister, Norma Dechaine and one brother, Allen Parnell.

Surviving are three daughters, Wanda Ann (Donald) Aultman and Susan (Danny) Conrad, both of East Peoria and Tammy (Donald) Bailey of Maine; one son, Jerry (Kim) Zimmerman of Tremont; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald (Golda) Parnell of California.

Elnora had worked at SuperValu as the Bakery Manager from 1966 to 1976.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 2078 in East Peoria and AMVETS Post 64 in Peoria.

She enjoyed making her famous peanut brittle, was an excellent baker and cook.

A gathering celebrating Elnora's life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Zion Evangelical United Methodist Church Cemetery in rural Pekin.
