Froella Faye Ward

Born September 16, 1950 in Du Quoin to Jacob and Wanatha Mae (Davis) Dehne, Sr., she married Charles “Bill” Ward, Sr. on February 17, 1969 in Sunnyland. He died on November 14, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James L. Davis and Jacob Dehne, Jr. and one sister, Renee Dehne.

Surviving are five children, Sandra (Mike Cotton) Whitman-Cotton of Peoria, Tonya Ward of California, Charles Ward of East Peoria, Phillip Ward of Creve Coeur and Neil Ward of East Peoria; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and seven siblings, Frank E. (Judy) Shelton of East Peoria, Jaylene (Edward) Casey of Oklahoma, Ronald Dehne of Dunlap, Delbert Dehne of East Peoria, Herbert Dehne of Chillicothe, Tracey Dehne of Creve Coeur and Carol Jordon of East Peoria.

Froella had worked as a housekeeper at Holiday Inn for five years.

She enjoyed housekeeping, spending time with family and Elvis Presley. She also enjoyed shopping. She loved attending church service at Cornerstone.

Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Inurnment will be at Fon du Lac Township Cemetery in East Peoria. A celebration of Froella’s life will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Avanti’s Italian Restaurant in East Peoria.
