Herbert Lee Donohue Jr.

Born December 29, 1957 in Fruitland, Maryland to Herbert Lee and Faye (White) Donohue Sr. They preceded him in death.

He married the love of his life Jackie Metts on July 12, 2002 in Tazewell County. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Christina (Brian) Knobloch of Peoria; one son, Andrew (Susan) Donohue of Creve Coeur; four grandchildren, Owen and Olivia Knobloch, both of Peoria, Lily and Andrew Donohue Jr., both of Creve Coeur; one sister, Sandra Donohue of Delaware and one brother Matthew Donohue of Delaware.

A professional exhaust pipe bender for many years, Herbert was devoted to his wife, children, grandchildren and loved spending time with them. He enjoyed his family trips to Delaware and Harley rides with his wife, Jackie. Herbert also was a maintenance worker at Creve Coeur Public Library for many years.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Creve Coeur Christian Church, 101 S Thorncrest Avenue, Creve Coeur, Illinois 61610. Pastor Bill Holley will officiate.

Arrangements have been entrusted by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
