

Born April 13, 1936 in Groveland Township, Tazewell County to John Arthur and Ida Belle (Davis) Ranney, she married Horace George Cooper on June 6, 1954 in Pekin. He died March 25, 2016 in Peoria. She also was preceded by her parents; one grandson, Eric Michael Cooper; one great-grandson, Chance Habbinga; one sister and four brothers.
Surviving are one daughter, Sherri (Michael) Wells of Ankeny, Iowa; two sons, Terry (Dorane Salsman) Cooper and Gary (Lindy) Cooper, both of Creve Coeur; five grandchildren, Jessica Cooper, Aaron Cooper, Jillian Urich, Matthew Wells and Logan Wells; one step-grandson, Kenneth Williamson, II and two great-grandchildren, Bentley Urich and Aria Urich.
Lulabelle was a devoted wife and mother. She raised three children while helping George build several of their family homes by hand. Later in life she worked for Cooper Video and Movies 2 Nite for many years.
She loved spending time outside tending to her yard. She also loved reading books on her kindle and working on her family tree.
Her celebration of life open house will be held starting at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Hilltop Grill in Creve Coeur.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Zion Evangelical United Methodist Church Cemetery in rural Pekin. Chaplain Scot Shelburne will officiate.
