

Born December 3, 1935 in Peoria to George E. and Ada May (Benedict) Johnson, he married Eileen June Binder on October 23, 1957 in Morton. She died December 23, 1993 in Peoria. He later married Betty Jean (Dugger) Barker on October 6, 2017 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Glen (Cindy) Johnson of Pekin and Todd (Tami) Johnson of Canton; one daughter, Vicky (Perry) McCoy of Bloomington; ten grandchildren, Gabe Johnson of Munich, Germany, Colt (Katie) Johnson of Mapleton, Nick Johnson of Peoria, Joe Woodrum of Mackinaw, Angie Woodrum of Bloomington, Elizabeth (Kendall) Hansen of Towanda, Becca (Corey) Pichon of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Wilson Johnson of Peoria, Whitney Johnson of West Peoria and Lake (Greg) Nelson of West Field, Indiana; ten great-grandchildren and one sister, Jean Schmidgall of Peoria.
Bob had served in the United States Navy.
He owned and operated Pleasant Hill Antique Mall in East Peoria since 1986. He also was a retired member of Teamsters and Chauffeurs Union Local 627 in Peoria and worked as a truck driver out of the hall last for Natkin Mechanical Contractors.
Bob enjoyed trapshooting and was a member of the Chillicothe Sportsman’s Club.
He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in East Peoria.
His private graveside service will be Friday, December 11, 2020 at Fon du Lac Cemetery in East Peoria. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
