Mr Daniel "Danny" J Casto

He was born October 27, 1948 in Charleston, the son of Clifford and Imogene Casto. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Marc Casto, and brothers Harold, Edward, and sister Patricia Spurgin, and Betty Jane Casto.

Danny was a 1966 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School. He was a US Air Force Veteran having served during the Vietnam Conflict. Danny retired from AEP Management for John Amos Plant with over 42 years of service. After retirement he spent his time helping his family and friends tinkering around. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend that will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Diana, children Kristie Long (Eli), of Winifrede, Josh Williams, of Chesapeake, the light of his world his grandchildren, Kristin Casto, Clayton Casto, Kassidy Priddy (Alex), and Hunter Long, great grandchildren, Blakely Priddy, and Lawson Priddy, sister Doris Michael (Archie) a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Dan’s life will be 2:00 P.M. May 29, 2025 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Pastor Mark McKeehan officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes with Military Graveside Rites conducted by St Albans VFW Post 6418 and American Legion Post 73.

Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
