Firman Lee Harvey

Firman Lee Harvey of Nitro/Cross Lanes died Wednesday February 3 2016 at his home at age 63. He was preceded in death by his first wife Sheila Chapman Harvey, his mother Georgie Ella Harvey Harvey and his father Everette Lee Harvey. He leaves behind ex-wife Pamela Jo Aliff Harvey, son Corey Lee Harvey, daughter Chelsea Marie Harvey, daughter-in-law Hannah Withrow Harvey, grandson Colt Benjamin Withrow and granddaughter Jessica Evangaline Harvey. Lee was a graduate of Nitro High School and WV State College. He was a WV CPA. Lee retired from the State of WV Division of Corrections in 2015. He had previously worked for Union Carbide Corporation. Lee loved music. He was a trumpet player in school and for the Barons which was the house band at the Checkmate. Lee was a loving caregiver to Sheila during her long illness. He was a devoted son to his parents. Becoming a father to Corey and Chelsea brought him much joy. He was thrilled to be a grandfather to Colt and Jessica. Lee was a member of Cross Lanes United Methodist Church at 5320 Frontier Drive, Cross Lanes WV 25313. On Sunday February 21 2016 at the church at 1 pm will be visitation followed at 2 pm by memorial service celebrating his life. Service to be lead by Pastor Dr. Gary Nelson and Pastor George Webb. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the church's "The Church Mouse Thrift Store " that helped Lee so much during his move to his apartment.
