

He was born April 15, 1942 in Dunbar, the son of William and Lucy Light Spradling. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kathryn Spradling, sisters, and brothers.
Larry was a retired Fire Chief for the city of Dunbar with over 30 years of service. He was a Staff Sergeant having served in the US Air Force. Larry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dunbar. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend that will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Pat, sons, Michael “Scott” Spradling (Angela), of Dunbar, Jon Spradling (Sharon), of Liberty, and Dylan Spradling, grandchildren, Latricia Patton (John), Heather Arceo (Tim), Hannah Mynes, Luke Spradling, and Nikki Spradling, great grandchildren, Kaylee Patton, Maggie Patton, Owen Patton, Decklan Miller, and Ava Arceo, and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside Service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes with Celebrant HR Whittington presiding. Burial will follow In Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens with military graveside rites conducted by St Albans VFW Post 6418 and American Legion Post 73.
