She was born August 9, 1951 in South Charleston, a daughter of Leonard and Lena Martin, Jr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Patsy Reed.
Linda was a graduate of Nitro High School. She retired after 24 years of management with Long John Silvers. She attended Charleston Mt. Mission where she served 17 years as sound technician for the Charleston Mission Morning Broadcast on the radio.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Sara Peltier (Jason), of Bristol, VA, John Reed, of Abingdon, VA, great nephews, Salem Reed, of Leon and Kalin Reed, of New Mexico, Austin and Garret Peltier, of Bristol, VA, great nieces, Charlie, Brooklyn, Addalyn, Becklyn, great great nephews Sam and Broly.
Celebration of Linda’s life will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Rice officiating. Entombment will follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
