She was born March 10, 1926, in Pulaski, Tenn., the daughter of Grady and Mary Rackley Biles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Gaines; daughter, Barbara Lea Gaines; and brother, William Biles.
She is survived by her son, David Gaines and his wife Kim, granddaughter, Stephanie Smith and her husband Jeff, great grandchildren, Eleanor, Fern, and Wyatt, her grandson, John Gaines and his fiancé Christina and their daughter, Shianah, and brother Richard Biles.
Celebration of Mary's life will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, with Rev. Kyle Keys officiating.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
