Murl M. Romine, 91, of Hurricane, passed away at Angel Avenue on May 29, 2017. She was born March 29, 1926 in Gandeeville, WV and was a daughter of George and Rosa Hardman Gandee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Kenna Edward Romine; son, Jerry Edward Romine; siblings, Earl Lee Gandee, Azeline Jeffreys, Freda B. Sheets, Josephine Lockhart, Ruth Riel and Dare Fields. Murl loved flower gardening. She was a wonderful and loving mother. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Deborah) Romine and Stephen Lee (Donna)Romine all of Hurricane; grandchildren, David (Michelle) Romine of Nitro and Tracey (Byron) Risner of Hazel Green, KY; and great-granddaughter, Emma Grace Romine. A celebration of Murl’s life will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, 110 B Street, St. Albans with H. R. Whittington as celebrant. Burial will follow in Gandeeville Cemetery, Gandeeville, WV. There will be a gathering of family and friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
