Shawn Paul McNealy, 38, of Spring Hill, formerly of St. Albans, went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2017. He was a 1996 graduate of St. Albans High School. He was a member of the football team, where he, although undersized for his position, played like a giant. The one thing that was bigger than his play was his heart. Shawn was preceded in death by his father and best friend, Michael Eugene McNealy; maternal grandparents, Harlan and Hattie LaLonde; and paternal grandparents, Don and Norma McNealy. He was a husband, son, father, brother, loyal friend and unshakable Syracuse University and Philadelphia Eagles fan. Survived by his wife, Tina Scott McNealy; daughters, Brooke Ann and Kaylee Nicole; mother, Becky McNealy; brother, Scott McNealy (Amanda) of Louisville, Ky.; sister, Hattie French (Stephen) of Houston, Texas; four nieces; nephew; and a host of other relatives and close friends. Celebration of Shawn's life will be 2 p.m., Monday, June 19, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home with Rev. Shelby McNealy officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, St. Albans. Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service.
