

She was born February 24, 1954 in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of Charles and Loretta Kinder. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, James, and sisters Susie, Brenda, and Patricia.
Virginia “Elaine’s” life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were Blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint She left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that She stayed here.
Virginia “Elaine” was talented and adventurous in many aspects of her life. She was an amazing mother and grandmother and great grandmother. Not a day went by where she didn't talk about how much her children and family meant to her. Her family was arguably her most important achievement in life.
Virginia “Elaine” is survived by her loving children, Lorie Mobley, Tammy Shamblin, and James “Jimmy” Tomblin. Grandchildren Thomas, Kent, Anthony, Chris, Jason, and Brandon, Bralynn, RJ and 8 great grandchildren, Siblings Charles “Chuck” Kinder and Sherry Kinnell.

Celebration of Elaine’s life will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain Home Cemetery, Trough Creek.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 6 to 8 Friday at the funeral home.
