

Crissy Pagano-Hajkowski of Patterson, NY died on March 19, 2017 at 40 years old. She was born at Putnam Community Hospital on August 19, 1976 to Ralph Pagano, Jr and Cheryl Comitto (Pagano), lived in Patterson, Brewster and Mahopac, attending Mahopac High School. She relocated to Putnam Lake, Patterson in 2002 as Mrs. James Hajkowski.
She is survived by her husband Jim, her mother Cheryl, step-father David Tucker, father Ralph, stepmother Janet, her grandmother Rachael, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her dear nephew Edward Roy Hajkowski.
She leaves behind a family of friends including Susanne & Joey Vella, Steve Bradley, Romykay Hajkowski, Anka Roberto, Terry O’Brien, Tracey Walsh, Lorraine Calabrese, Pam Antonini and countless others.
As a teenager Crissy was Nanny to ‘her boys’: Jordan and Caleb Teicher, supervised a video store, and later worked as a Veterinarian Technician for several years at the Animal Hospital of Kent, further enhancing her love of animals. She volunteered tirelessly with the Relay for Life, both in Mahopac, and then Patterson as she encouraged others to fight the disease that she herself fought since 2003; Multiple Myeloma and most recently ovarian cancer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Monday March 27 at Holy Name of Mary Church. Visitation begins at 9AM at the Church.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Four Brothers in Mahopac on Saturday April 1, at 1PM. In Crissy’s memory, donations may be made to her Relay team which will continue in her memory: Friends Helping Friends to Find a Cure, Relay for Life Patterson NY.
