Hank was born on August 30, 1929 in Croton-on-Hudson, NY to the late Delmar and Corene (Gatling) Kearsley. Hank was an art teacher for the Peekskill NY School District and the Town of Wellesley, MA. In addition, he taught summer programs for his students. He taught students of all ages, and introduced them to all forms of mediums in his studio in Newton Centre. Art was a lifetime passion of his. His work can be seen in notable places such as the student center at Babson College. Hank's lifetime of artwork can still be seen at his studio in Newton Centre.
He is survived by his wife Bette Ehrenberg Kearsley; his three children Henry (Hank) D. Kearsley, Harlin C. Kearsley, Blaise Allysen Kearsley; his three grandchildren Julia Kearsley, McKinley Kearsley, and Meghan Kearsley; and his sisters Marion Madison, Janet Dansbury, and Henrietta Hines.
He was predeceased by his father Delmar Kearsley, his mother Corene (Gatling) Kearsley, and his twin brothers Delmar Theodore Kearsley Jr. and Joseph Thomas Kearsley Sr.
Remembrance is scheduled for Sunday February 25th from 1-4pm at Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home, 465 Centre Street, Newton, MA 02458.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, March 1st from 4-8pm at Edward F Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520. A funeral service is scheduled at the funeral home on Saturday, March 2nd at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery, Old Post Road, Croton-on-Hudson, NY.
