John Carleton McCormick

Jack is survived by his sons, John and Rory; daughters-in-law Cynthia and Cynthia; grandchildren

John, Christopher and Hayley and great grandchildren Kayla, Logan, Alexis and Cayden. He was

preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Patricia.

Jack was born on December 23, 1931 in Bronx, NY to Charles and Nana McCormick. He graduated

from Saint Simon Stock High School in 1949. In 1951 he enlisted in the United States Air Force,

serving in Korea until honorably discharged in 1954.

In 1955, he married the love of his life, Patricia Mulligan. Together they raised their two sons in East

Atlantic Beach, NY. Through his work as Vice President of Sales with various tugboat/shipping

companies, they travelled the world making deals and entertaining clients. Jack and Pat shared a

love of golf as members of the Rockville Links Country Club, for many years. Jack loved to surf and

was an avid shark fisherman.

A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00, Chapel of the Good Shepherd in

Croton-on-Hudson. Prior to the service, there will be a viewing held at the Edward F. Carter Funeral

Home from 10:00-10:45. A luncheon will follow the church service at Eatalia. All are welcome to

attend and celebrate Jack’s life. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude’s, one of Jack’s

favorite charities, in his memory.
