Margaret Shenton

Margaret S. Shenton of Croton on Hudson, New York passed away on July 2, 2016 at the age of 92. Margaret was born to Melvin P. and Claire (Norris) Sheffer on February 24, 1924 in Yonkers, NY.

Margaret was the beloved mother of George M. Shenton of Somers, NY, M. Susan Carroll (Terrence) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Bruce Shenton (Mimi) of Cold Spring, NY, and Donald E. Shenton (Tracy) of Garrison, NY, beloved grandmother of five; John Carroll of Ossining, Robert Carroll who lives in Poughkeepsie, she was predeceased her in July 2012 by Brian Carroll who lived in Poughquag, NY, Timothy Shenton of Garrison, and Christopher Shenton who also lives in Garrison and was also predeceased by her sister, Clarissa (Tootsie) Sheffer of Croton on Hudson in 2000.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand St., Croton on Hudson, NY. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 11am at Asbury United Methodist Church, Croton on Hudson, NY. A private cremation will take place with a burial of ashes at a later date at Bethel Cemetery, Croton on Hudson, NY.
