
He was born on January 10, 1929 in Roscommon Co., Ireland to Mary Anne (Sleighn) and Timothy Carty. Patrick immigrated in 1950 and was drafted into the Korean War, stationed in Germany. Patrick was a stationery engineer for the City of New York and owned a house painting business. He loved to play his accordion and sing. Patrick was very charming with a wonderful brogue. He was also a devout Catholic, supporting many charities.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Rose Anne (McGoldrick) of Cavan, Ireland and his loving children: Mary and Jim Quigley of West Windsor, NJ; Anne and John O’Halloran of Ossining, NY; Patricia and Baber Suri of White Plains, NY; Rita and Jeff Cadge of Ossining, NY; Kevin Carty and Julie of Harvey’s Lake, PA; and Paul Carty and Michiko of Kyoto, Japan. His 11 grandchildren brought him much happiness: James Patrick, Owen and Elise Quigley, Hailey O’Halloran, Omar Suri, William and Kristen Cadge, Casey, Jamie, Anna and Matthew Carty. He is also survived by his sisters Mary and Neula and his life-long friend Michael Flynn.
In heaven, he has joined his parents, brothers and sisters. Please remember our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend in your prayers.
Family and friends may call at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand Street, Croton on the Hudson, NY 10520 on Thursday, November 4th at 7-9 pm and Friday, November 5, from 2pm - 4pm and from 7 pm – 9 pm. Mass will be held on Saturday, November 6th, at 10 am at The Church of Saint Augustine, Eagle Park, Route 9, Ossining, New York 10562. Interment will be at St. Augustine Cemetery, Ossining, NY.
