Reid was born on August 25, 1992 to Roger Kasunic and Inez Andrucyk in White Plains, NY.
With a 3.8 grade average he was about to move from Westchester Community College into Stonybrook University to complete a bachelors degree in computer programing. He was honored to be one of only seven people accepted in the program. Most importantly he was a supportive friend and a devoted family member with a great ability to talk deeply through personal issues. His intelligence and sensitivity were his strength. He was loved by all, blessed with a tender heart and an intellectual mind always willing to listen to and empathize with the troubles of others.
Reid struggled with addiction and recovery for the past two years, but was making considerable progress. His immune system however was weakened from a recent illness, and he became very susceptible to the physical dangers associated with a relapse. He did relapse, and his body could not handle the stress. He shall be remembered for his strength, his compassion, and his fearlessness.
He is survived by his beloved parents Roger Kasunic and Inez Andrucyk-Zychal; step-father, Charles Zychal caring brothers, Cullen Kasunic and Christopher Zychal; loving paternal Grandmother Claire Kasunic and maternal Grandparents Stanley and Janice Andrucyk.Reid is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Gail Holy, Joyce Rau, Keith Kasunic and Kevin Kasunic; Brad, Stanley, and Brian Andrucyk, and theirspouses. Further, by his many loving cousins including Annemarie, Kyle, Kaylee, and Aidan Andrucyk; and Erica, Lorelle, and Micheal Rau. He will also be remembered by his many, many friends who love him as dearly as we do both in life and forever.
