SFC Richard C. Lewis (Ret)

Richard is survived by his wife Diane Lewis, his 3 children, Rick (Sally) of Stamford, CT, Kristin (Martin) of Wappinger Falls, NY, and Suzanne (Marc) of Yorktown Heights, NY and is loving grandfather to Robert, Christine, Devin, and Victoria. Richard was predeceased by his parents, Starks and Clarinda Lewis, and his brother, Starks (Buddy) Lewis.

Richard retired as a SGT First Class after 41 years of honorable service in the United States Army National Guard in 1996. During that time he also worked as a driver for UPS in Stamford, CT and Croton-on-Hudson and was a lifetime member of the Fire Patrol where he served as the Engineer of the Rescue Truck. Most recently, Richard worked as a bus driver for the Coxsackie-Athens School District.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand St. Croton on Hudson, NY. A memorial funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 19th 10AM at Holy Name of Mary Church, Croton on Hudson.
