Serafine “Rea” Steinmann of Plantation, FL and of Croton on Hudson, NY passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017at the age of 100. Rea was born in Ehingen, Germany on August 1, 1916 to Karl and Serafine Egle. Rea was an expert Bridge player. She loved to play Bridge and spending time with her many friends at her home in Covenant Village.
Rea was predeceased by her first husband Eric Hiemcke who passed during WWII and her second husband Fritz Steinmann in 1973 She was also predeceased by her son Frederick Hiemcke. Rea is survived by her loving sons Gene Steinmann (Karen), Robert Steinmann, and Paul Steinmann, cherished grandchildren Elizabeth and William Hiemcke (Tanya), Jacob (Erica), Carl (Tricia), and Jeffrey Steinmann (Wanda), Gina Jones (Chris), and Nicholas, and adored great grandchildren Joey Heimcke Allenah and Shon Hiemcke, Carina, Nathan, and Reed Steinmann, Ava, John, and Lily Steinmann, Lukas, and Carsten Steinmann, and Jacob and James Jones.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, 4-8PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand St., Croton on Hudson, NY.
