She was born August 13, 1931 in Humboldt, TN to Watt and Clara (Wilson) Blakemore. She married Clifford Ortmeyer.
Evie enjoyed reading and sewing. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Crystal Lake. Above all she was a caring person and a loving mother.
She is survived by her son, Cliff (Judy) Ortmeyer II; her sister, Patricia Heifner; and her granddaughters, Maggie and Samantha.
Evie was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Ortmeyer, and her daughter, Angela Ortmeyer.
A graveside service will be held at 10am on Friday, June 17 at Windridge Memorial Park, 7014 Rawson Bridge Rd., Cary.
