Joshua Batzer, age 25, formerly of IL, passed away suddenly on April 16, 2016 after a long illness. He is survived by his father, Steve Batzer in Dewitt, MI; mother, Laura Batzer in Fox River Grove, IL; sisters, Marie Teller in Crystal Lake, IL and Meggie (Patrick) Kwiatkowski in Brooklyn, NY. He is also survived by his grandparents, Gene and Judy Michaelis; his niece, Violet Kwiatkowski; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Josh was a bright young man with a big heart and even bigger dreams. He had a sharp wit and a wonderful sense of humor. To those who knew him well he was loving, kind, and unfailingly loyal. His passing has left an interminable hole in our lives, an ever-present emptiness we will carry with us always.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Josh’s name to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America at www.ccfa.org.
A memorial visitation will be from 4 to 8pm on Friday, April 22 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL.
