Joyce A. Landis

She was born December 29, 1939 in Elgin to Melvin and Loretta (Littler) Sjurset. On October 26, 1957 she married Richard Landis in Woodstock.

She enjoyed gardening, watching the birds, and arts and crafts. She was also a great cook and baker.

She is survived by her children, Judi Bracken, Rick Landis, and Susanne (Jeffrey) Sayavongsa; her grandchildren, Rodney Bracken, Richard Bracken, Elizabeth (Patrick) O’Neill, Jacqlyn (Shannon) Harrison, Sarah Salazar, Joseph (Amy) Landis, and Andrea Bennett; her great-grandchildren, Christopher, Carissa, Andrew, Annabella, Chloe, Jayden, Phoebe, Daniel, and Camden; her siblings, Gene, Lynn, Jenifer, Joel, Lori.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents; and her sister, Irene.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8pm on Friday, December 28 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. The funeral service will be at 10:30am on Saturday, December 29 at the funeral home.

Interment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock.
