Kory Alexander Marks, 24, of Crystal Lake, passed away Wednesday, June 29 in Island Lake. Kory was born on April 10, 1987. He was the son of Krista (Marks) Mortimer and Rodrigo Candia. Kory lived life to the fullest always living in the moment. Kory loved spending time with his family and friends, riding his motorcycle, and playing video games. He had a true love for animals and nature. Kory had a real artistic talent, and was working towards a degree in graphic design. Left to share in his memory are his parents; Krista (Rod) (Marks) Mortimer and Rodrigo(Donna) Candia of Crystal Lake, his siblings; Shawna and Tara Kennedy, Ashli Saylor, brother and best friend Nick Kennedy, and Taylor and Maria Candia, all from Crystal Lake, as well as his grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday , July 5, from 4-8 p.m. at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave. Crystal Lake 60014, cremation rites have been accorded.
