Sandra J. Kellogg

Sandra J. Kellogg, (nee Kraatz) of Crystal Lake, died Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at home in Capron, surrounded by her family. She was born September 4, 1943, in Chicago, to Alvern Kraatz and June Webster (nee Smith Kraatz).

Sandy loved her work and everyone she worked with at Coilcraft, where she worked for 18 years before retiring in June 2012. She enjoyed gardening and her fondness of gambling treated her well.

She is survived by her children, Lynn Dietz of Forrest City, AR, John (Lisa) Kellogg of Minden, NV, Julie (Ted) Adams of Capron, IL; grandchildren, Brad (Brandi) Knoth, Erin (Pepe) Vera, Jessica (Kyle) Fisher, Christina (Josh) Floryance, Cady Emma Kellogg, Michael Loewe, Caitlin Adams, Ashley Adams, Brian Adams, Brandon Adams; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Brenda, Asia, Hayden, Matea, Zoie, Madison; grand-doggies, Zoey and Coco; brother, Alvern (Elaine) Kraatz; and sister, Carol (Emmet) Harrigan.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John W. Kellogg; her parents; her brother, Michael Webster; and son-in-law, Bob Dietz.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Friday, November 21, 2014, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to JourneyCare Hospice, 405 Lake Zurich Rd., Barrington, IL. 60010.
