Barbara Ellen Williams, 85, of Crane Hill, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026. Born January 28, 1940, to Astor and Lora Campbell, she was a beloved member of Bethany Baptist Church and a pillar of her community.
Affectionately known as “Bobbie,” Barbara was famous for her kindness, her sharp wit, and her ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she worked side-by-side with her husband for many decades.
They managed large construction projects from the West Coast to the East Coast, gaining many cherished friends along the way. Whether managing a business or caring for her family and friends, she did it with grace and resilience.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Hilton Williams; her daughter, Pam (Arne) Roaldsand; her sister, Linda (Roger) Anderson; her brother, Ronald (Belinda) Campbell; her sister-in-law, Patricia Baker; her grandchildren, Alexander (Cathy) Roaldsand and Savanna Roaldsand; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Bethany Baptist Church in Crane Hill, Alabama, with a Celebration of Life immediately following in the sanctuary.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." ~ 2 Timothy 4:7
