Charles Kenneth Bowen

Charles was a veteran of the Vietnam war. He achieved the rank of Specialist and was responsible for his platoon. He was always willing to help others. He particularly enjoyed working with children and youth serving at Good Hope schools and with his boy scout troop 241 for over 41 years.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Grant Crouse; parents: Joseph and Mamie Barber Bowen; and his sisters: Julie Collier and Clara Ann Bowen.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Helen Link Bowen; Daughter, Lisa (Richard) Bowen Crouse; son, Heath S. Bowen; grandchildren: Abbie Crouse, Mikel Bowen, Lilly Bowen, Isabel Crouse, Donny Bowen, Rhett Crouse, Ella Bowen, and Wyatt Crouse; and a host of other family members, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. until the celebration of Charles' life which will begin at 2:00 P.M. at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Bowman's Chapel Cemetery.
