

Charles Milton Sims of Cartersville, Georgia, formerly of Cullman, Alabama, passed away on March 3, 2015 at the age of eighty-seven. Funeral Services will be Sunday March 8, 2015 at Moss Service Chapel at 1:00 PM, with interment at Oak Level Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home
He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-seven years Mary Taylor Sims, his parents Dula and Garfield Sims and his grandson Joshua Simmons. He is survived by his children Charles and Nan Sims, Michael and Donna Sims, Melanie and Van Simmons and Petie and Chris Sims; also,by his grandchildren Scott Sims, Matt Sims, Jenny and Nathaniel Welch and Katie and Tyler Boss and by his great-grandson and namesake Charles Welch and great-granddaughter Hayden Welch.
Mr. Sims was a graduate of Fairview High School. He was a World War II veteran having served in the Navy. He was the former owner of East Point Tire Company and a charter member of First Presbyterian Church. He was a life long golfer who will be fondly remembered by his golfing buddies. He was a dearly beloved father and grandfather. Mr. Sims was the biggest Alabama fan - EVER. ROLL TIDE.
