Funeral services for Cleo Sharpton Knight, 95, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Edwin Hayes and Bro. Steve Freeman officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Knight died Sunday, Nov. 14. She was born Sept. 1, 1915. She completed four years of college and earned a degree in sociology from Berea College in Kentucky. She was employed 41 years in the Department of Welfare/Pensions and Security in Cullman County. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. “Doc” Knight; her parents, Charles and Dora Hudson Sharpton; three brothers, Clarence Sharpton, Clinton Sharpton and Clyde Sharpton; and two sisters, Margaret Glenn and Zoda Wood.
Survivors include a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund.
Pallbearers will be Butch Sharpton, Wade Sharpton, Jeff Gardner, Zac Freeman, Josh Garner and Brad Freeman.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday.
