David N Chapman

David N. Chapman, 79, went to be with his Lord and the love of his life on Thursday, December 15, 2016. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Moss Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Cullman City Cemetery.

David grew up on Stouts Mountain and was a long-time resident of Vinemont, and a member of the Beulah Church of Christ. David was a veteran of the United States Air Force and the Alabama National Guard. He was retired from Monsanto in Decatur. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and a kind friend to so many.

He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-three years, Marie Chapman, who left us in September of this year; his parents, Marlin and Agnes Chapman, and one brother, Harmon Chapman; two sisters, Maye Edwards and Jean Miller.

He is survived by his three sons, Gary Chapman, Richard (Karen) Chapman and Kenneth (Dedra) Chapman, and daughter-in-law Patricia Chapman; six grandchildren, Clint (Cari) Chapman, Blake Chapman, Keely (Zach) Palmer, Colby Chapman, Angela Chapman, and Avery Chapman; his sisters, Ruth Fields and Marge Edde, and several nieces and nephews who knew him as Uncle Boots.

David’s family would like to thank the loving brethren of the Beulah Church of Christ for their unwavering love and devotion.
