

Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Scott Drummond Pate, age 89 of Cullman will be at 11 am. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Shelton Grove Baptist Church, Revs. Ray Ponder and Ronnie McCarty officiating. She will lie-in-state at the church Saturday from 10 – 11 am. Moss-Service Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Pate passed away Wednesday at Woodland Village Health Care Center. Edith was born in Walker Co. Alabama May 11, 1925 to J.I. and Ruby Abbott Scott. She was a factory worker and housewife.
She is preceded in death by husbands; Thomas Dillard Drummond and T.J. Pate, brother; Charles Scott and sister; Marcella Brannon.
Survivors include one son; James “High Pockets” Drummond, two daughters; Janet (Royce) Jean and Marcia (Kevin) Tillman, two brothers; Clayton (Doris) Scott and Edwin (Carolyn) Scott, two grandchildren; Kelly (Steve) Morton and Katie (Josh) Lackey, great grandchildren; Jameson Lackey, Meredith Lackey, Andrew Morton and (Delaney Lackey due May 15, 2015), step-children; Richard Pate, Andy Pate, Mary Ann Adams and Rena Broadhead, three sisters-in-law; Dorothy Drummond, Joann Deck, Julia Scott and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Shelton Grove Cemetery Fund.
