

Funeral services for Edward Joseph Galvanek, 95, of Crane Hill will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Father Patrick Egan officiating, with burial in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery in Woodbridge, N.J.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Galvanek died Sunday, Aug. 22, at his residence. He was born Aug. 13, 1915, to Joseph and Anna Tomala Galvanek. He was a mechanical engineer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wives, Dorothy and Ella.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Edward (Carri) Galvanek; four grandsons, Paxton Galvanek, Alden Galvanek, Evan Galvanek and Prestin Galvanek; two daughters, Donna (Mark) Kavin their daughters, Kim Kavin Toohey and Michelle Kevin} and Linda (Ronald) Baniel {their children, William Szatkiewiez III, Judy John Szatkiewiez, Stacy May Szatkiewiez and Jeremy Edward Baniel}; a stepdaughter, Margaret (Richard) Skurka {her children, Eric Skurka, Kristin Skurka and Erin Skurka}.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday; with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m.
