Erlene "Billie" Self Self Hutchison

Mrs. Erlene “Billie” Self Hutchison, 93, of Cullman Alabama passed away in her home on Wednesday, July 10, 2013.Mrs. Hutchison was born in Blount County. She lived in Cullman County for seventy five years.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel at Moss Service Funeral Home in Cullman Alabama at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 13, 2013. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 12:00 Noon with a private visitation at 11:30 A.M. for the family. Entombment will be at Cullman Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Mrs. Hutchison was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years 9 months, James Daniel Hutchison Jr., and her son Gary Wayne Hutchison, parents: Noah and Mary Self, four brothers: R.E. (Robert Emery) Self, Grady Self, Clyde Self and Huey Self, four sisters: Fronia Moore, Vera Dye Bates, Nova Schmale and Zelma “Pal” Self.

She is survived by her daughters: Edith ( Ricky) Glover of Holly Pond, Alabama, Denise (Rich) Porter of Lillian, Alabama, Sons: James B. “Jimmy” (Anita) Hutchison of Huntsville, Alabama, Dennis (Dawn) Hutchison of Cullman, Alabama, daughter-in-law: Nelda Hutchison of Cullman, Alabama, sister-in-law: Maddaleen Nicholas of Cullman, Alabama, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Mrs. Hutchison worked as a teacher’s aide with the headstart program for the Cullman City School System for a number of years. She spent many years traveling with her husband James and The Holiday Ramblers Club. She loved to work crossword puzzles and craft projects. She was a devout member of Northside Baptist Church. Mrs. Hutchison was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. As an inaugural member of the Country Cousins group she spent hours with them compiling and publishing cookbooks with remembrances of their relatives. Mrs. Hutchison celebrated every minute she spent with her family and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Eric Hutchison, J.B. Hutchison, Jordan Hutchison, Aaron Clay, Tim Glover, Maynard Schmale, Terry Nicholas and Keith Moore. Honorary pallbearers: Ryan Wilcutt, Levi Clay, Christopher Lettis, Larry Self, Justin Taylor, Kyle Moore and Stuart Moore.

The family would like to thank Comfort Care Home Health Care and Comfort Care Hospice Care for the loving care given to Mrs. Hutchison during the past few years. A very special thank you is extended from the family to her beloved caregiver Candy (Rodney) Jacobs for her extra special care, love and devotion to Mrs. Hutchison.
