Memorial Services for Mrs. Florence LaVonne Kocurek, age 66 of Cullman, will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Livingston Chapel Church, with Dr. Kenneth Graham officiating.

Mrs. Kocurek passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born on October 30, 1944 in Texas, to the late James and Della Macha Burch. She was a registered nurse, and had worked for many years in Texas for area hospitals and lastly for the department of corrections. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Alvin Kocurek.
Survivors include, her Daughter – Joy (Tommie) Hicks; two 2 – Sons – Jon (Stephanie) Kocurek and James “Bubba” (Shannon) Kocurek; seven 7 – Grandchildren – Natalie Kocurek, Nathaniel Kocurek, Naomi Kocurek, Haley Kocurek, Donald Gibbons, Brittany Gibbons and Kaitlin Moran; four 4 – Great-Grandchildren – Ryan Freeman, C.J. Smith, Damian Gibbons and Misty Gibbons; and a Host of Friends and Neighbors.
