Mrs. Geraldine Warren Newton

Funeral Services for Mrs. Geraldine Newton, age 72 of Vinemont, will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Johnny Bennefield officiating. Interment will follow at Cullman City Cemetery.

Mrs. Newton passed away on Friday, September 30, 2011 at her residence. She was born on June 3, 1939 in Blount County to the late Chester and Lucille Cargo Warren. She was a past member of Clark Street Church of God now Sprit Life Church of God, and now a member of Vinemont Church of God; was a loving wife, mother and sister; and a great housewife and cook.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Neva Cheri Newton and two brothers, Emmitt Earl Warren and Charles Edward Warren.

Survivors include her Husband – Edward “Pete” Newton of Vinemont; Son – Barry Gene Newton of Homewood; three 3 – Sisters – Jo (Buddy) Fowler of West Point, Barbara (Charles) Armstrong of Odenville and Diann Parish of Ashville; and one Goddaughter – Ashlee LaRae Brown of Ashville.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, October 1, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
