Funeral services for Gladys Estelle Denney, 94, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Charles Owens officiating, with burial in Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Denney died Thursday, Jan. 26, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Jan. 18, 1918, to Volley Velpo and Gertha Candelia Howard Sanders. She was a retired nurse.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James D. Denney; a son, Rexford Denney; a daughter, Elaine Denney Rice; and two grandchildren, Lynne Rice and Dawn Denney.
Survivors include a son, Delnor Denney; a sister, Ethel Wilkinson; six grandchildren, David Denney, Micki Denney Peevy, Christopher Denney, Jimmie Rice, Ann Dotterweich, and Daphne Sprigg; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
