
A funeral mass for Iva Hall Roy, 94, of Cullman, will be at Christ the King Monastery, 5060 Co. Rd. 1635, Cullman, on Tuesday, May 11, at 9 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery at 3 p.m. where she will be laid to rest between her husband and son.
Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Iva Roy passed peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, May 8, 2010. She was born in Kentucky, moved to Montgomery when she was 4 years old. She and her daughter moved to Cullman in 2001.
She lived and practiced her true Roman Catholic faith while she was employed by the state of Alabama as a micro-bacterialologist and after retirement. Her hobbies included gardening, roses, quilt making and crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul F. Roy (1991) and her oldest son, Paul J. Roy (1998).
Iva is survived by her nine other children, Carolyn Burch, Mike Roy, Tom Roy, Joseph Roy, Dorothy Bryan, Margaret Clark, Johanna Roy, Mark Roy and Patricia Cimaglia, and her many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She also has been a mother to many she did not birth.

Visitation will start Monday, May 10, 2010 at 6 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
