There really are too many great memories for me to choose any single one.   
What I do remember most about Mr. Clayton, as I often called him, was his willingness to jump in there and help any friend who was in need and did it with a smile and always had a funny story or joke to tell. He went with me to Florida once to help work on my mother's house and then another trip to upper North Carolina to take some medical equipment to Samaritan's Purse that was being shipped to a mission in Africa....we had these and many more adventures!  I always worked the store on Thanksgiving and he made sure to bring me a plate from his table every year.
I met him at Misty Harbor, when he helped me with setting up a travel trailer in 1990, I believe.  He then came and worked for me at my store doing odd jobs and helping with multiple remodeling's.  As time went by, we became close friends and spent many an hour doing whatever either of us had going on.  If I called him, he would answer: "Hey doodle" for - do a little of this a little of that - and I always responded: "Hey Piddle" for - piddle around with this or that.
He was as good a friend and man as you could ask for and I have considered him my "brother" for a very long time.
It's been 30 years and my life is better for having him in them, he will be sorely missed!
