Mr. Jerry Alton Woodard, age 59 formerly of Arley, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Huntsville Hospital. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Woodard was born on June 25, 1953 in Cullman to the late Dewey and Leola Allred Woodard. Jerry served proudly in the U.S. Army during and through the Vietnam War, ending his career as a Staff Sergeant. He then went to and retired from the University of Alabama Huntsville.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Frankie Woodard and Milton Woodard.
He is survived by one Brother – Dwight (Vanessa) Woodard; three Nieces, Nichole Woodard, Misty Woodard and Monica (Joe) Brazil; a Special Step-Niece – Monica Colonero; three Nephews – Jason (Stephanie) Woodard, Michael Woodard and Christopher (Carolyn) Gruber; seven 7 – Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews; and a host of other close family and friends.
