Cullman passed away Oct. 3, 2016, at her
home. Christine was born June 2, 1927,
in Morgan County to Marvin and Athee
Asherbranner. She attended Austonville
Grammar School and New Prospect
School. She married Willis Lethal Williams in 1941.
Together they ran country gas stations with the last
being Williams Grocery in the New Prospect commu-
nity. She retired and closed the store in 1991.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin
and Athee Asherbranner; her husband, Lethal; her
siblings, Walker and Mildred; and her daughter,
Shelia Moon.
Survivors include her children, Brenda (the late
Chester) Edwards, Melvin (Reba) Williams and Linda
(Jim) Kaple; grandchildren, Jamie Kaple, Leah (Steve)
Barnes, Laura Dunlap, Christa (Patrick) White, Brian
(Monica) Williams and Paul Moon; eight great-grand-
children; and one great-great-grandson.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct.
4, at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 5 at the church.
