Graveside Services for Mrs. Lois Gurley Stephens, age 90 of Cullman will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Madison City Cemetery, with Pastor Alan Weatherly officiating.
Lois was born in Lincoln Village in Huntsville on December 21, 1923 to the late Robert & Lula Cleveland Gurley. She passed away at Cullman Long-term Care on Thursday, October 30, 2014. Mrs. Stephens loved her family, reading the Bible and watching Alabama football.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Bernie Stephens, Sr. & Winford Byrd; a daughter, Barbara Quick & a son, Bobby Stephens.
Survivors include 2 – Sons – Brian (Tonya) Stephens of Cullman & Bernie (Peggy) Stephens of Madison; 9 – Grandchildren; 13 – Great-Grandchildren
In lieu-of-flowers, donations can be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to Feed The Children.
