Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jo Hancock, age 94 of Vinemont will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Mary was born on November 13, 1919 to the late R.E. & Mary C. (Blevins) England. She passed away at U.A.B. Hospital on Thursday, August 28, 2014.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband SGT. MAJ. Norman O. Hancock deceased in 1996; and 3 brothers, R.F.; J.C. & Charles England.
Survivors include her Niece – Melba England Patton; 2 – Great-Nieces – Debbie Patton (Bill) Schmidt & Tammie Patton (Gary) Watson; and 1 – Grand-Niece – Lindsey Schmidt.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
