Michael R. Evans

Michael R. Evans, age 70, of Cullman, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Michael was born March 28, 1951 in Birmingham, Alabama to Ruben and Catherine Basinger Evans. He is preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Kamryn Greer Chamblee.

Mr. Evans worked for and retired with 41 years of service to Alabama Power, a division of the Southern Company.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 1:00 PM until the funeral services which will begin at 2:00 PM at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Collett and Rev. Jeremy Calloway officiating. Interment will follow services in Bethlehem East Cemetery in Hanceville, Alabama.

Survivors are: wife, Brenda Singleton Evans; daughter, Brandy (Corey) Gibbs; son, Michael (Brittani) Evans Jr.; brother, Glenn (Debbie) Evans Sr.; sisters: Sandra Greenwood, Marilyn (Kevin) Porter; grandchildren: Anna (Weston) Bonner, Taylor Trevarthen (Gavin), Kade Chamblee, Jonlyn Gibbs, Sydney Wilkins, Dylan Evans Dyer, Leeann Evans, Cole Evans, Chris Evans, Mira King, Jaycie Evans, Ava Howard; and great grandchildren: Easton and Ella Bonner.

Pallbearers will be: Glenn Evans Sr., Glenn Evans Jr., Pete Tunner, Butch Singleton, Corey Gibbs and Mark Trevarthen. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Weston Bonner, Gavin Burtis and Dylan Evans Dyer.
