

M.L. is preceded in death by his son, Gary Hannah, his parents Andrew and Geraldine Hannah, his sister, Pat Elrod, and two brothers, Pete and Gene Hannah.
He is survived by his sister, Ann (Danny) Peeples, and his sister-in-law, Kay Kelly, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
ML was a 1957 graduate of Brookwood High School. He retired from Black Diamond Coal Mines and then continued to work as a truck driver. He was an avid motorcyclist and a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.
Jimmie “Linda” Hannah is also preceded in death by her son, Gary Hannah, along with her parents, Chesley Hammonds, and Jewel Thornton.
She is survived by her sister Kay Kelly, her sister-in-law Ann (Danny) Peeples, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Linda was a 1961 graduate of Hueytown High School. She retired from the Jefferson County Department of Health. She was a loving mother and wife. She loved to cook and excelled at good ol’ home cooking.
M.L. and Linda were lifelong members of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. They loved their church and loved going to the gospel singings around the area.
A memorial service for M.L. and Linda will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Hueytown. Visitation will be at 12:00 pm and service to follow at 1:00 pm.
The family wishes to express our gratitude to the staff at Westminister Assisted Living and Memory Care for the excellent, compassionate care they provided to M.L. and Linda. A special thanks to their Hospice nurse, Casey with Expect Care.
